Casual ableism is spotlighting certain people with disabilities because “they don’t let their disability stop them from doing amazing things.” While it is wonderful that there are people out there that can live a “normal” life with blindness or half an arm, there are people with unseen disabilities that literally can’t get past their poor self-worth, and deserve acknowledgement, too.

This tbh.

Or just fullstop comparing anyone’s response to their disability to someone else and saying ‘X does y so why can’t you?’

This /especially/ applies if you’re about to bust out some angry shaming because someone doesn’t prefer to stumble along in pain vs rolling free and easy.

Even doctors do this.
